USAIR DROPS PRICE OF FLORIDA FLIGHTS

USAir on Tuesday announced a new pricing structure for travel between Florida cities and the Northeast that will offer air passengers lower fares on a year-round basis.

``This is not a sale; we are offering low prices year-round,'' said USAir spokesman David Shipley.

The new prices are aimed at leisure travelers who can be flexible in scheduling their trips, Shipley said. Ticket prices vary by market, and the company said some prices are as much as 55 percent lower than current fares.

Other major airlines say they will match fares on routes where they compete with USAir.
