WRITERS WORKSHOP STARTS SATURDAY

The Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley, 21 W. Main St., is sponsoring a writers workshop, beginning Saturday. The class, designed for the serious writer, runs from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the center's gallery.

The workshop is open to youths in grades 8 to 12 and to adults. Participants may have their writing published as the workshop progresses.

The cost of the workshop is $20 for members of the Fine Arts Center or $25 for nonmembers. To enroll, call 980-7363.
