BLACKSBURG - The Blacksburg Parks and Recreation Department will observe Earth Day April 16, 9 a.m. until noon, by planting seedlings and trees at the Nellies Cave Park arboretum.
Free seedlings will be given to the first 200 volunteers. Montgomery County Extension Agent Joe Hunnings will conduct a planting demonstration.

Cleanin' 'n' Greenin' set April 16
RADFORD - Cleanin' 'n' Greenin' Day will be April 16 this year. City Council has designated April as Environmental Awareness Month to encourage participation in the annual cleanup.
