LOCK-UP WILL RAISE FUNDS FOR AREA MDA FAMILIES

The Muscular Dystrophy Association is holding a "Lock-Up" April 14 at Berglund Chevrolet GEO Jeep Eagle on Williamson Road to raise money for the Southwest and Central Virginia chapters.

Volunteer "jailbirds" will be locked up and "bail money" will provide MDA families with wheelchairs, monthly clinics, summer camps and other services. Mayor David Bowers will serve as a hanging judge for part of the event.

Berglund Chevrolet, K92-FM and Cellular One of the Roanoke Valley are sponsoring the event.
