REPORTED EARNINGS

Hook-SupeRx Inc., Cincinnati-based drugstore chain operating stores in Western Virginia and proposed merger partner with Revco drugstores, on Friday reported second-quarter sales of $613.9 million, up 1.4 percent from year-earlier $605.3 million. Net income was $8.9 million or 42 cents per share, down from $14.9 million or 69 cents per share.

For the first half, sales were $1.18 billion, up from year-eralier $1.15 billion; and net income was $2 million, compared with $5.8 million.
