STABBED MAN DIES; BROTHER CHARGED

A Montgomery County man was killed Friday night when he was stabbed in the chest, and his brother later was charged with second-degree murder.

Michael A. Turpin, 30, of 3030 Lick Run Road, was pronounced dead at Montgomery Regional Hospital, according Lt. J.T. Whitt with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. Gordon Kerry Turpin, 28, was arrested and charged with the killing, Whitt said.

Sheriff's deputies were called to Michael Turpin's home at 9:10 p.m. for a report of someone being cut.

Sgt. C.C. Thornton Jr. said deputies found the victim on the kitchen floor with a stab wound to his chest.
