GRAVE DISTURBED AT PULASKI CEMETERY

A grave at a Pulaski County cemetery was disturbed sometime last week, and the Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information to call.

The disturbed gravesite at the Mountain View Cemetery on Virginia 611 was discovered Easter Sunday, and authorities believe a person or persons dug up the site sometime between March 29 and Sunday morning.

Sgt. Michael Alderman said the family of the dead person had requested that no information be released about the name.

The burial plot was filled back in Wednesday evening. Alderman said it is unclear whether anything was taken. There was dirt inside the coffin.
