NEW HOOPS RULES ARE GOOD RULES

To Jack Bogaczyk:

You're wrong again. There's nothing wrong with college basketball, just people trying to change it ("Rulesmakers: Change needed, March 30). The rules you mention are good rules and don't need to be changed, just enforced.

Instead of changing the rules, you should be on the officials and their supervisors to enforce the rules they already have. As for Terry Holland, basketball would be played in pads and a helmet if he had his way. Basketball is not ice hockey.
