Late last week, WSLS General Manager Jim DeSchepper stood talking to Channel 10's whirling dervish of a reporter, 23-year-old Andrew Colton.

Colton told DeSchepper he had just finished landing a reporting job in Detroit, a top-10 television market and quite a leap from Roanoke.
