CHRISTIANSBURG - Registration for the General Education Development test to earn a high school equivalency certificate will be Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at the Montgomery County School Board office, 200 Junkin St.
Testing will be April 20 and April 22, 4 p.m.-9 p.m., at Christiansburg High School. Test sessions are limited to the first 60 people to sign up.
Applicants must apply in person. Individuals must be at least 18 and have lived in Virginia at least 30 days. A picture identification, such as a driver's license, must be presented at registration.
The fee for the five-test battery is $25. Retests are $5 each. For more information, call 381-6116.
G. Gordon Liddy to speak at Tech
BLACKSBURG - Watergate figure and radio talk show host G. Gordon Liddy will speak at Virginia Tech Monday, 8 p.m., in Burruss Hall auditorium.
Admission is free.
Liddy's program is entitled "Survive or Prevail."
