The company, which makes electrical motors, employs 366 workers, said Personnel Director Velma Nester.
Nester did not elaborate on the reason for the layoffs, except to say, "We have seen a drop in our market."
Most of those affected were hourly paid manufacturing workers.
Inland Motor and another Radford company, Industrial Drives, are divisions of Kollmorgen Corp. Industrial Drives will not be affected.
Inland Motor last laid off 40 workers in June 1992. Much of its production in the past has been connected to defense-related projects.
