TEACHING WORKSHOP THIS WEEK

The 1994 Diggs Teaching Workshop and Round Table will be held April 14-16 at Virginia Tech. Edward Diggs, chairman of the English Department at Tech, will be one of the leaders of the program. Ernest Sullivan, an English professor at Texas Tech, will speak April 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Donaldson Brown Continuing Education Center auditorium on "Dollars and/or Sense: Teaching the Large Lecture Class." The lecture is open to the public.

On Friday, a brown bag workshop for faculty members will be held from noon-2 p.m. in the living room of Hillcrest Hall. Participants will explore ways to improve the teaching and learning environment at Virginia Tech.

The Diggs Roundtable will be held April 16 at 3 p.m. to honor those awarded the 1994 Diggs Teaching Scholar. The recipients of this award are Thomas Gardner, Ann Kilkelly and Siegfried Holzer.
