LACROSSE UVA WHIPS VMI 22-7

Second-ranked Virginia used a 10-goal second quarter to plaster VMI 22-7 in men's lacrosse Tuesday at Alumni Memorial Field in Lexington.

Chris Morton and David Jones each scored three goals for the Cavaliers (8-1). Doug Knight added two goals and three assists.

Matt McLean scored two goals for the Keydets (6-4), and John Ripley, a sophomore from Buena Vista, added one goal and two assists.
