Wilmington beat Salem 1-0 in the first game.
Wilson (2-0) pitched a complete game for Salem, striking out seven and walking one.
"We had a good game plan and I went after them with my sinker and curve ball," Wilson said. "They are a good fastball-hitting team, so I wanted to get ahead and make them hit my pitches. My curve was working very well and I was able to change speeds. I don't have exceptionally great stuff, but I do rely on a great defense behind me."
The Buccaneers took the lead in the third inning when center fielder Jeff Conger scored. Blue Rocks pitcher Kris Ralston walked Conger and had him picked off at first, but the tag was missed, allowing Conger to get the first of his three stolen bases. Conger took third on a wild pitch and scored on a single by Raul Paez.
Jake Austin hit a two-run homer to right-center off reliever Dario Perez in the fifth inning to give the Bucs a 3-0 lead.
In the sixth, Conger scored an insurance run. After Perez walked Conger, the center fielder stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch. He stole home on a pitch by reliever Chris Connolly.
In the first game, Wilmington's Mike Bovee carried a no-hitter until there were two out in the sixth inning.
Salem finished with two hits, with Juan Segura getting the one that broke up the no-hitter. Daryl Ratliff added a single in the next at-bat, but the rally fizzled.
Matt Chamberlain went the distance for Salem, scattering six hits. The Wilmington run, on Steve Murphy's run-scoring single in the fourth, was unearned.
