The Christiansburg company Paging Inc. has donated a pager to the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at Virginia Tech to enhance the effectiveness of its

"Save an E" program, the organization's designated driver program. The program has been somewhat successful for two years, but members needed a pager to assure that someone could always be reached to arrange a sober ride.

Paging Inc. is loaning the pager, along with two months of free service, to help the program prosper. After the trial period, each organization will evaluate its effectiveness and make decisions on what to do next.

B. J. Ford, president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, said the fraternity members are "very excited that Paging Inc. has taken us under their wing and are willing to help." Ford is confident that the pager will give an extra boost to the designated driver program.
