Victoria Jordan Stone of Newport is the first artist-in-residence. More than 20 of her environmental works will be on display. Four limited edition prints and six notecards have been produced from Stone's watercolors of scenes and plants around Mountain Lake. Proceeds from print sales will be used for environmental education programs and land stewardship.
Stone's tenure as artist-in-residence will continue through September 1995. Her works will be on display until then, and she will be offering painting and drawing instruction and workshops at Mountain Lake.
