DENNIS A. DUNCAN, vice president and branch manager of the Blacksburg office of Mortgage Service America Co., has been named to the Chairman's Club and was named a top producer for the company for the eighth consecutive year. He was also recognized by Mortgage Generator Magazine as one of the nation's top performing loan officers.

Duncan, a Giles County native and graduate of Virginia Tech, serves the New River Valley and southern West Virginia from his Blacksburg office.

New River Valley Hospice has announced its association with TODD D. DAVIS, M.D. as Montgomery County area medical director. Dr. Davis will be available to physicians in the New River Valley to assist with pain control and symptom management for hospice patients. He will also serve as an advisor to the hospice staff.

SARAH K. WILLIAMS, M.D., a physician at Saint Albans Psychiatric Hospital in Radford, has been certified as a Diplomate in adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Diplomates are considered to have attained the highest qualification for medical practice.

J. STUART ARBUCKLE has become a partner and the general manager of the Pizza Inn in Christiansburg. In addition to his restaurant management experience, Arbuckle received the Citizen Award for Outstanding Contribution to Law Enforcement in 1992 for assisting with the capture of three suspected criminals.

MICHAEL P. HITE has been named executive director of the Wilderness Conservancy at Mountain Lake. He will develop environmental and natural resource education programs and promote environmental research. Hite was an assistant professor at Virginia Tech in the College of Forestry and Wildlife Resources.

MICHAEL C. McPHERSON has joined Anderson & Associates, a Blacksburg engineering, surveying and planning firm, as a project engineer in the transportation department.

Anderson & Associates employees THOMAS W. DiGUILIAN, DEBORAH B. HARTSFIELD and MICHAEL A. RUSSELL have received certification as licensed professional engineers in Virginia.

KAY STRATTON, sales associate with ERA Townside, Inc. Realtors, has received national recognition for top sales performance in 1993. With more than $5 million in sales, Stratton ranked as one of ERA's top producers nationwide.

CATHERINE B. GREGORY has joined the Mountain Lake Hotel as corporate sales manager. She is a graduate of the hotel, restaurant and institutional management school at Virginia Tech.

PAT COLLINS has been appointed a family service counselor for Highland Memory Gardens and Sunrise Burial Park. She is a native of Pulaski, a former school teacher and the wife of the Rev. Danny W. Collins, pastor of Fairlawn Baptist Church.

BOB BUCKLAND has joined Highland Memory Gardens and Sunrise Burial Park as a memorial counselor. The Radford native attended Virginia Military Institute and served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He is an elder at Belspring Presbyterian Church.

PHYLLIS TURK has joined Dr. Robert J. Young's medical practice, the Women's Health Center of Virginia, as a nurse midwife. Turk is a registered nurse and certified nurse midwife who will also be associated with Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Dr. WILLIAM T. HENDRICKS has been appointed to the board of trustees at Montgomery Regional Hospital. He has been a member of the hospital medical staff since 1976 and has his medical practice in Blacksburg.

BARBARA DONATHAN has been chosen as associate for the quarter at Heritage Hall. She is a registered nurse and nursing supervisor and has worked at Heritage Hall nearly 15 years.

JOSEPH PAINTER, a Blacksburg lawyer who serves on the Virginia Bar Association's Committee on Mental Disabilities, has been named to the program faculty for the 17th Annual Symposium on Mental Health and Law.

PAMELA P. GATLIN of Christiansburg has been promoted to mortgage loan officer at NationsBanc Mortgage Corp. She recently was recognized for having the highest customer satisfaction rating of all mortgage lenders in the company.

ARTHUR H. TUTHILL of Tuthill Associates Inc. in Blacksburg received a technical achievement award from the National Association of Corrosion Engineers International for his contributions to the field of corrosion-resistant alloys. He has written more than 35 technical papers and is listed in Who's Who in America.

GREG BULLION, executive vice president of Pilot Homes in Christiansburg, received the 1994 Clayton Homes top award for superior sales and service. Pilot Homes is a dealer for Clayton Homes, the nation's largest retailer and fourth-largest builder of manufactured homes.

MILDRED R. JOHNSON of Blacksburg has completed qualifications to represent BeautiControl Cosmetics as an independent skin care and image consultant. Johnson is trained in skin condition analysis, color analysis, skin care, cosmetics and computer-assisted image analysis.

ATHLYN A. PHILLIPS, a retiring employee at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant, received the Commander's Award for Civilian Excellence from the U.S. Army Research, Development and Acquisition Information Systems Activity. Phillips' 33-year career included her most recent position as computer programmer analyst, and she was recognized as an authority in database management systems.
