NAMES & CHANGES

Newspaper names new managers

LIBBA WOLFE has been named general manager of Pinpoint Target Marketing, an alternative delivery service of Roanoke Times & World-News, which delivers magazines, advertising and catalogues. Wolfe supervises the advertising sales and warehouse operation and works with the circulation manager and district managers in the Roanoke metro area. She was employed at the newspaper as an advertising representative from 1982 until 1988. She returned in 1989 as single-copy manager for the circulation department.

\ JANET HOLLOWELL has been promoted to Wolfe's position of single-copy manager. She joined the newspaper in 1990 as a part-time collector for the single-copy department. She was promoted to a metro district manager, and, most recently, to metro zone leader. Hollowell formerly worked for the Dallas Times Herald as an independent distributor and computer programmer.

ADVERTISING

CHARLES LAMBERT has joined John Lambert Associates, a Roanoke marketing communications firm, as account executive. Previously, Lambert worked in the New York office of Burson-Marsteller, an international public relations firm. Before that, he worked for Carolina Public Relations/Marketing in Charlotte, N.C., McLeese Marketing in Winston-Salem, N.C., and in the office of U.S. Sen. John Warner in Washington, D.C.

The Packett Group in Roanoke has hired JANET ROBERSON as a copywriter. She was formerly with the Eison Goot Group in Greenville, S.C. Roberson has also worked for Henderson Advertising in Greenville.

ORGANIZATIONS

The Virginia State Feed Association has elected JAMES C. REYNOLDS of Vinton to its board of directors.

The Virginia Skyline Girl Scout Council has elected officers and board members for 1994-96. Among those elected are STEVEN HOBBS, Washington and Lee University, Lexington, first vice president; CHARLOTTE PORTERFIELD, community volunteer, Roanoke, second vice president; and NANCY SHEPHERD, Atlantic Mutual Cos., Roanoke, treasurer.

On the board are KIM CRANNIS, Blacksburg Police Department, Christiansburg; CHARLES CROSSON JR., Hollins College, Roanoke; DIANA ECHOLS, Mount Olivet School, Axton; GENEVA HORTON, community volunteer, Galax; HELEN HOWELL, Martinsville High School, Martinsville; CONNIE SMITH, Roanoke County; and AUDREY HAWKINS, community volunteer, Lexington.

Senior Girl Scout members on the board are RHIANNON BERKLEY, Dry Fork; STEPHANIE LAYNE, Glasgow; MEGAN MANN, Forest; and ELIZABETH NEWCOMB, Blacksburg.

\ PAUL R. DOTSON, associate broker with Waldrop Realty, and DOUG SAWYER, owner of Sawyer Properties Inc., have been appointed to the board of directors of the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors.
