MONTGOMERY COUNTY DEPUTY INJURED IN WRECK AFTER CHASE

A Montgomery County deputy was injured Friday night after chasing a car through two counties.

Deputy D.R. Hall was involved in a single-vehicle accident around 9 p.m. on Morgan's Farm Road in the Belspring area of Pulaski County, according to Sgt. D.L. Rakes.

Hall and a Pulaski County patrol unit were pursuing a car that Hall had tried to stop for speeding on Virginia 114 in Montgomery County.

Hall was treated for minor injuries at Montgomery Regional Hospital and later released.

The car Hall was pursuing, a black Mazda RX-7, was last seen in the Belspring area, Rakes said.
