MUSE UP TO `THE CHALLENGE'

Roanoke's Floyd Muse won Saturn of Roanoke's Tour DuPont challenge, qualifying to ride with the Saturn cycling team in the first day of the Tour DuPont on May 4 in Wilmington, Del.

Muse, 31, beat 32 other riders in a five-minute ride on the Trek 1200, a road bicycle that was converted to a makeshift stationary bike. Muse's 2.58 miles was six-hundredths of a mile farther than Drew Thomas, his closest competitor.

Muse's trip to Wilmington will be paid for by Saturn.
