KMART RECALLS CLOTHING FOR NEWBORNS

Kmart Corp. is recalling 6,500 newborn boy's three-piece outfits because the fasteners could detach and create a choking hazard for infants, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

The outfits consist of checked pants, a blue-and-white cardigan sweater and short-sleeve top with airplane appliques. They were sold in Kmart stores nationwide during January and February.

There have been no reports of injuries.
