All-Metro golfer Brian Sharp led Tech with a 220 total, good for sixth place in the individual competition. Sharp carded a 75 in the final round on the 6,869-yard, par-71 South Course at Grenelefe Resort.
Tulane's Lance Combrink won medalist honors with a round of 70 and a 213 total. Pat Brown of South Florida finished second, three strokes back.
Sharp, Combrink and Brown were joined on the All-Metro team by Paul Carpenter and Scott Burnett of UNC Charlotte and Rob Stock of Southern Mississippi.
Tech's Sean Farrell shot a 72 to finish seventh, at 221, and Curtis Deal had a final-round 72 to finish with a 222, good for ninth place. David Havens finished 17th at 77-228.

In Rocky Mount, N.C., Georgia Tech's Mikko Rantanen fired a tournament-low 66 to win the ACC men's golf championship at Northgreen Country Club.
Rantanen finished with a 7-under-par 209 to lead the Yellow Jackets to their fourth consecutive team championship, a nine-stroke victory over North Carolina.
Florida State's Bobby Cochran birdied the final two holes to finish second at 212, and Virginia's Simon Cooke was third at 213. The Cavaliers finished seventh. in Scoreboard, B-4)
In Blacksburg, a five-run fourth inning helped Virginia Tech rout Louisville 14-8 in Metro Conference baseball at English Field as the Hokies completed a three-game sweep of the Cardinals.
Tech gave up five home runs but improved its record to 19-17 overall and 6-5 in the league. Louisville is 9-26 and 0-9.
The Hokies led 5-3 entering the fourth, when left fielder Bryan King walked with the bases loaded to force in a run, right fielder Kevin Barker doubled home two runs and catcher Denny Hedspeth doubled home two.
Tech's Ron Preston (2-6) gave up four runs in six innings, including one of Tucker Howard's two homers.
In Lexington, Angie Carrington scored three goals, including the 100th of her career, to lead Washington and Lee to a 12-3 victory over Guilford in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's lacrosse game.
W&L (5-5, 3-3) also got two goals each from Lindsay Coleman and Nicole Ripken. Jen Caltrider had 11 saves for Guilford (3-8, 1-5), and Kira Law scored two goals.
Averett won the Dixie Conference women's tennis tournament with 32 points, four more than Ferrum and Methodist, who tied for second with 28.
Ferrum's Heather Minter won the No. 3 singles title with a 7-6, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Averett's Amy Cross.
In doubles, Ferrum won the No. 2 and No. 3 championships. Jan Kelley and Minter teamed to win No. 2 doubles with a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Christopher Newport's Julie Viers and Emily Belbin. In No. 3 doubles, Ferrum's Missy Spradlin and Carol Green beat Averett's Christal Bess and Leigh Brafford 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 in the final.
Christopher Newport defeated Ferrum 5-3 in an elimination game to win the Dixie Conference softball tournament in Winchester. Earlier, the Captains defeated the Panthers 5-2 in the first championship game of the double-elimination tournament, sending Ferrum to the losers bracket where the Panthers routed North Carolina Wesleyan 19-6.
The Virginia Tech men's and women's tennis teams finished fourth at their respective Metro tournaments.
In Charlotte, N.C., South Florida won the women's title with a 5-1 victory over Virginia Commonwealth, and Tech dropped a 5-3 decision to Tulane in the third-place match.
In the men's competition in New Orleans, VCU won the title with a 4-3 victory over South Florida, and Southern Mississippi defeated the Hokies 4-1 in the third-place match.
In Fayetteville, N.C., Ferrum's David Evans won the No. 5 singles title at the Dixie Conference men's tennis championships. Evans beat Methodist's Joe Baile 7-5, 6-3 as the Panthers finished fourth.
