TOP NRVS FINISHERS IN MINI STOCKS DISQUALIFIED

Non-stock fly wheels on the top two cars in Saturday night's Mini Stock race at New River Valley Speedway gave the victory to Terry Hanks of Max Meadows.

Kevin Kenley and Kevin Light, the apparent winner and runner-up, respectively, were disqualified after postrace inspections at the Radford track.

The disqualifications moved Randy Bell and Paul Vaught to second and third, respectively.

Salem's Gary Richards was presented the second weekly Curtis Turner Memorial Hard Charger award after Saturday night's racing. The veteran driver, who races without sponsorship, started 24th in the Late Model Stock Car event Apil 9 and finished 11th.
