'FLOATPLANE NOTEBOOKS' AUTHOR TO SPEAK AT VMI

Author Clyde Edgerton will speak at Washington and Lee University on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Lee Chapel.

Edgerton is the author of ``Raney,'' ``Walking Across Egypt,'' ``The Floatplane Notebooks,'' ``Killer Diller,'' and ``In Memory of Junior.'' He is known for his Southern characters and their wry humor. In addition to reading from his works, he will accompany himself on a four-string guitar and piano during his presentation.
