MEETINGS SET UP ON BIKEWAY PLAN

The New River Valley Planning District Commission will sponsor additional public meetings to discuss development of a regional bikeway and walkway system. A preliminary plan, developed in conjunction with the Virginia Department of Transportation, proposes potential routes and bikeway and walkway projects throughout the New River Valley.

The meeting for Montgomery County residents will be Thursday, 7 p.m., at the Blacksburg Branch Library on Draper Road.

The meeting for Pulaski County residents will be May 5, 7 p.m., at the Appalachian Power Company meeting room on Main Street, Pulaski.
