COUNCIL CANDIDATE FORUMS SET

Two town council candidates' forums have been announced.

The Blacksburg Federation of Neighborhoods will sponsor a forum Thursday, 7:30 p.m.

The League of Women Voters of Montgomery County will sponsor a forum Monday, 7:30-9 p.m.

Both forums will take place in Town Council chambers at the Municipal Building.

Participants will include Mayor Roger Hedgepeth and council candidates Lewis Barnett, Al Leighton, Joyce Lewis and Ray Chisholm.

Both events will be televised live over public access channel 2, WTOB, on Blacksburg Cable. Viewers to the Thursday forum can call in questions at 961-1100.
