Because of a reporter's error, a story in Tuesday's paper incorrectly reported that City Manger Robert Herbert's recommended budget does not include funding for Center in the Square, the Convention Bureau and Mill Mountain Zoo. It was recommended that those groups continue getting the same level of funding, but their request for an increase was not recommended.

\ Because of a copy editor's error, a story Thursday about the acquittal of Christopher S. Fleming on drug charges quoted defense attorney Gary Lumsden as saying police took the word of a "convicted, professional liar" instead of conducting an investigation. Police had investigated the case, but Lumsden was pointing out that no follow-up investigation was conducted.
