ALLDREDGE, Virginia Updike, 68, of Forest in Campbell Co., died Thursday, April 21, 1994, at her residence. She was the wife of Alvin Aaron Alldredge. Born November 10, 1925, in Roanoke, she was a daughter of the late Harry Fielding and Irene Orange Updike. She was a member of Living Word Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Alvin Donald Alldredge and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Shelor Alldredge; and two grandchildren, James Donald Alldredge and David Wayne Alldredge, all of Lynchburg. A funeral service will be held today, 11 a.m. at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Alan Mason officiating. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Sherwood Cemetery in Salem.
BALDWIN, Mayme Murray, 84, of Troutville, died Friday, April 22, 1994. She was a member of Bonsack Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Henry E. Baldwin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara B. and Paul B. Shores, Roanoke, June B. and W. M. (``Jim'') Brown, Troutville; a brother, William L. Murray, Troutville; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 11 a.m. Monday, April 25, 1994, with the Rev. Dr. Robert G. BANE, Mary Elizabeth Richardson, 89, of Salem, formerly of Grundy, went to be with her Lord on Friday morning, April 22, 1994. She was born at Devon, W. Va., April 12, 1905 and died after a long illness. A graduate of Mary Baldwin College, she did additional graduate study at Nor thwestern University in Chicago and Marjorie Webster College in Washington, D. C. She was a member of Buchanan First Presbyterian Church in Grundy, DAR, Florence Ann Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, and the Grundy Women's Club. She had served as a member of the Board of Directors of Buchanan Realty Corporation. She was a wonderful ``Mom"" to daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Dr. Mac Stanley of Roanoke; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Eugene M. Bane Jr. and Becky of Salem; daughter, Barbara Grace Bane of Abingdon; six grandchildren, Michelle W. Foss, Mike Worley, Beth Worley, Katye Bane, Ember Bane, Anne Bane; two great-grandchildren, Erik Foss and Kaya Foss; one brother, W. Miller Richardson of Grundy. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Eugene Miller Bane Sr., her son, William Davidson Bane, a brother, Dr. James Stuart Richardson, and her parents, Dr. and Mrs. A. S. Richardson. Buchanan First Presbyterian Church in Grundy, Va. will be the site of the visitation on Sunday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. and the funeral on Monday, April 25, 1994 at 11 a.m. The graveside service will be held at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Va. at 4 p.m. Monday, April 25, 1994. CLARK, Bobby Edward, 42, of Lexington, died Thursday, April 21, 1994. Born in Lexington on February 5, 1952, he was the son of Paul Roller and Dessie Lorraine Plogger Clark of Lexington. He was a former employee of Blue Bird East and currently employed as an Assembler Technician at Anderson-Hill Corp. in Farifield and a member of Victory Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Carla Thompson Clark, Lexington; a daughter, Melanie Lynn Clark, Lexington; a son, Robert Edward Clark, Dover, Del.; a sister, Wanda Gaye Miller, Elkton; two brothers, Paul William Clark and Richard Lee Clark, both of Lexington. SMITH, Delena Ann Mills, 88, of Covington, died Wednesday, April 20, 1994. Mrs. Smith was born August 7, 1905 in Craig County, the daughter of the late Joseph and Callie Huffman Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton P. Smith in 1943; by her granddaughter, Beverly Taylor, in 1991; and also by one sister and two brothers. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, with whom she had made her home, Rosemary and Harvey Taylor; her son and daughter-in-law, Leon P. and Ethel Smith, of Covington; three granddaughters, Mrs. Butch (Rosalyn) Dalton of Charlottesville; Mrs. George (Roberta) Black of Summerville, S.C., and Mrs. W. F. (Alicia) Carter of Covington; two grandsons, Leon P. Smith, Jr. of Roanoke and James H. Taylor of Sweet Springs, WV. and six great-grandchildren.
