SMITH LEADS MAROONS PAST TIGERS 20-6

Brett Smith scored three goals and had four assists as Roanoke (8-5, 5-1) whipped Hampden-Sydney 20-6 in an ODAC men's game in Hampden-Sydney.

The Maroons' victory means Washington and Lee, which beat Roanoke, can claim the conference title with a victory this week over Randolph-Macon.

Freshman Lisa Franzino had seven goals and one assist, and three of Roanoke's four overtime goals as the Maroons beat Randolph-Macon 18-15 in an ODAC women's game in Ashland.

Roanoke (9-3, 6-1) clinched second in the conference with the victory.
