`SECOND RUSSIAN REVOLUTION' SERIES BEGINS

Speakers from Roanoke College's recent "Second Russian Revolution" series will be featured on "The Second Russian Revolution," a six-part series beginning tonightat 8 on WBRA (Channel 15). Sasha Saari, a professor of Russian at Roanoke and Ferrum colleges, will serve as the interviewer.

On tonight's program, Dr. Dan Richardson will give an historical view of Russia. Topics for programs on succeeding Thursdays are: "The Future of Religious Freedom in Russia"; "Russian Popular Culture"; "Social and Political Challenges of the Russian Economic Transformation"; and "Constitutional Reform in Post Communist Russia."

The final program on June 2 will feature an interview with former Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger.

"The Second Russian Revolution" television series is sponsored by Blue Ridge Public Television, Roanoke College's Henry H. Fowler Public Affairs Lecture Series, the Donald L. Jordan Humanities Endowment and the Center for Church and Society.
