Due to a reporter's error, the amount of a bid made by L.J. Bays Inc. in seeking to manage the Bedford County landfill was incorrect in a story Wednesday. The correct amount of the bid was $544,300, according to Bays' attorney, Drew Davis.

Due to a reporter's error, a Sunday story incorrectly identified a woman who conducted female-only workshops on male/female relationships at Saturday's Roanoke Valley African American Youth Conference at Virginia Western Community College. The woman was Rolayne Pannell, a graduate nursing student at Radford University.
