CHARLES TOWN PLANS DERBY SIMULCASTS

Charles Town Races will have live racing and wagering with simulcasts of the Triple Crown races, starting with the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 7.

The track opens at 10:30 a.m. with an 11:30 post time for the first race at Churchill Downs. The Derby goes off at 5:32 p.m. Charles Town also will offer a full-card simulcast from Hollywood Park in addition to a live 10-race card starting at 6:15 p.m.

Wagers on the derby at Charles Town will be comingled with those placed at Churchill Downs. A similar wagering system will be used for the May 21 Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes on June 11, dates on which Charles Town also has 10-race cards.
