RELIGION PROFESSOR CHOSEN AS NEW E&H FACULTY DEAN

James M. Dawsey, a religion professor at Auburn University, will become the new dean of faculty at Emory & Henry College in July.

Longtime faculty member Frederic M. Kellogg has been acting dean while the college made a national search to replace Richard Pfau, who held the office from 1985 until last year, when he left to become president of Illinois College.

Dawsey graduated from Florida Southern College and holds master of divinity and doctoral degrees from Emory University.

He is an ordained United Methodist minister, has written or edited six books and is a recipient of the Auburn University Book Author Award.
