CORNING CHOSEN FOR AWARD

Corning has been selected to receive a 1993 Suppliers Award from TABC, Inc., a Toyota affiliate. Corning manufactures catalytic converter substrates, and TABC is responsible for supplying these components to Toyota's North American and Japanese auto production operations.

The award is given to suppliers who meet or exceed standards for quality, service and price. To win the Suppliers Award, a company must score 96 points on a scale of 100. Corning is one of 12 companies in the country to receive the award and one of two with a perfect 100-point score.
