SALEM MAN KILLED WHEN CAR OVERTURNS

A 20-year-old Salem man was killed Sunday when a car in which he was riding went out of control on a Botetourt County road.

Brian Wayne Andrews was a passenger in a car driven by Charles Travis Shelor. At 12:09 a.m., Shelor was traveling west on Virginia 606 when he lost control in a curve, ran off the left side of the road, struck several trees and overturned, according to state police.

Andrews was dead at the scene. Police had no information on Shelor's age, residence or condition.
