BASKETBALL RADFORD HONORS BURGESS, TRAVIS

Seniors Don Burgess and Tyrone Travis capped their careers with honors at the recent Radford University men's basketball banquet.

Burgess, a 6-foot-6 forward from Harrisonburg, received the Donald N. Dedmon Most Valuable Player Award. Travis, a 6-7 center from Cambridge, Md., won the Doug & Norvell Tate Award for Outstanding Career Contribution.

Other Highlanders honored were: freshman Anthony Walker (Free Throw Shooting Award); junior Damian Ingram (Assists Leader); sophomore Johnny Watkins (Outstanding Defensive Player); senior Dragan Skoko (Student-Athlete Award); and junior Chris Harvey (Hustling Highlander Award).
