Wright, Baltimore, Md., Rose Mary Peeks Wooden, Felice Hicks, Adona Hicks Preston, all of Roanoke; great-nephew, Eugene Peeks Jr., York, Pa., great-great-niece, Cameron Wright; one great-great-nephew, Jermaine Peeks, both of Roanoke; other relatives and friends. EDWARDS, Rose Mostek, 65, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, May 3, 1994. She was retired from the Southland Corp. and did volunteer work at the Presbyterian Center, Heart Assoc. and League of Older Americans. Surviving are two sisters and brother-in-law, Jean and Jim Springer, Moneta, Martha Blaszkiewicz, Troy, Mich.; brother and sister-in-law, John and Jane Mostek, Metamoria, Mich.; 12 nieces and nephews. GARRETT, Brownie Wayne Jr., 76, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, May 4, 1994, in a Salem hospital. He was a charter member of the Emanuel Baptist Church. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years of marriage, Thelma Algene Garrett; two sons and daughters-in-law, Brownie Wayne III and Frankie Garrett, Virginia Beach, Gordon Grant and Debbie Hall Garrett, Elliston; three brothers, Phillip Garrett, Roanoke, Garland Garrett, Harold (Gob) Garrett, both of Salem; one sister, Elscena Shepherd, Roanoke; eight grandchildren, Brownie Wayne Garrett IV, Chesapeake, John William Garrett, Norfolk, Andy Hilton and Michael Hilton, both of Chesapeake, Christopher Garrett and David Garrett, both of Florida, Melissa Algene Garrett, Elliston, Emily Duncan, Elliston. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 6, 1994, 2 p.m. at the Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Steve Dye officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. KIDD, Lynwood Simms, 79, of Christiansburg, died Tuesday morning, May 3, 1994 in a Norfolk hospital after a long illness. She was the widow of C.A. (Jack) Kidd, a member of the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and a life member of the Christiansburg Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are a son, Thomas W. Kidd of Norfolk; a sister, Ruby P. Liljegren of Portsmouth; a brother, Albert Simms, Radford; and two grandsons, Noel R. Kidd and Evan R. Kidd, both of Norfolk. The funeral w ill be 11 a.m. Friday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Richard H. Horne with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ingleside Baptist Church, 925 Ingleside Road in Norfolk, the Christiansburg Presbyterian Church, 107 West Main Street, Christiansburg, or the Christiansburg Fire Department, Box 833, Christiansburg 24073. LARRY, Ed, 68, of 300 New Street, High Point, N.C., died Monday, May 2, 1994 at his home. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bernice Larry of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Bessie Glassgow, Mrs. Patricia Southerland, both of High Point, and Mrs. Elizabeth Newhill of Roanoke; two sons, Rodney Larry of Roanoke; Eddie Martin of Boones Mill; two brothers, Claude Larry and Eddie Larry, both of Boones Mill; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Friday with the pastor Rev. Michael Ellerbe officiating. Burial will follow in Carolina Bibical Gardens.
