The Muscular Dystrophy Association of Southwest Virginia is seeking men and women age 18 and older to volunteer at its summer camp June 19 through 24 at the 4-H Center in Wakefield.
Volunteers will be companions to children and teen-agers with MDA. Activities include fishing, swimming, canoeing, dancing, arts and crafts and MDA Olympics.
Transportation and meals are provided.

Roanoke Valley women win aerobic contest
"Jump-n-Fit," a Roanoke Valley aerobic team, recently won the 1994 YMCA Aerobic Championship in Huntington, W.V.
Team members are Teresa Lively and Marty Falgiano, both aerobic instructors at Salem Fitness Center, and Regina Ierardi, aerobics instructor at New Fitness in Roanoke. Jump-N-Fit's dance routine was choreographed by Lynn Stone of the Ardell Stone School of Dance. In addition to the team trophy, winners received fitness apparel and a white water rafting trip in West Virginia.
Rokeva Woman's Club earns district awards
The Rokeva Woman's Club recently received 11 awards at the Blue Ridge district meeting of the Virginia Federation of Women's Clubs.
The club received second-place awards in areas of leadership, today's living, health, crime and legislation.
The group also received special emphasis awards in areas of membership, international affairs, fund raising, safety and for their work with the Camp Easter Seal East in Caroline County.
Rokeva also received the Sarah Hendley Attendance award for highest average attendance to a club its size.
The group also installed officers for the coming year. They are: Carol Guilliams, president; Virginia Wallace, first vice president; Dorothy Edwards, second vice president; Doris Sartelle, recording secretary; Anne Scott, corresponding secretary; and Audrey Lindsey, treasurer.
Club member Bernell Rich was elected president of the Blue Ridge district.
Bradley Free Clinic honors 3 volunteers
The Bradley Free Clinic's 19th annual Award Celebration recently honored three volunteers.
The David Newman Award, for volunteer excellence, was presented to Dr. Ted G. Avner for his outstanding commitment this year and during the past five years. During 1993, Avner worked 42 clinics.
The Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Dr. Kevin Kelleher and Michael Meade, a licensed practical nurse, for their years of continued dedication.
Kelleher is a national spokesman for the Free Clinic Foundation of America and is a member of the Liaison Committee on Charitable Care that has advised the Clinton Health Care Task Force.
Meade works as a pharmacy technologist twice a week at the clinic.
As part of its annual awards celebration, the Bradley clinic recognized 25 percent of its 400 volunteers.
