LOUDON AVENUE CHRISTIAN TO DEDICATE WING

A memorial wing occupied in March will be dedicated May 15 at 4 p.m. at Loudon Avenue Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) at 730 Loudon N.W.

The Rev. Titus James of Wichita, Kan., the son of a former pastor of the church, will speak.

The wing, added to the east side of the church building, has cost $237,000.

A member of the church staff said the wing honors several ``founders and pioneers'' of the congregation which has been served by the Rev. William L. Lee for more than 15 years.

The addition has a multipurpose room for classes and fellowship, a larger office suite, new space for preparing the weekly Communion and restrooms that make the building fully accessible to those in wheelchairs.
