C-SPAN TO LOOK AT NORMANDY INVASION|

On Saturday and Sunday, C-SPAN will take an historical look back at the events and personalities surrounding the final invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944. Beginning at 1 p.m. each day and lasting for about four hours, ``D-Day: 50 Years Later'' will air conversations and roundtable discussions and visits to the American Military Museum and the American cemetery.

Additionally, French and British residents will share their views on the Normandy of the past and present and journalists will offer the media's perspective of D-Day's impact on world history. World War II veterans Sen. Bob Dole (R-Kan.), Rep. Bob Michel (R-Ill.) and Rep. Sam Gibbons (D-Fla.) will speak about their roles in the war.
