2 DAYS OF RACING AT NRVS THIS WEEKEND

Fans will receive a double-dose of racing this weekend at New River Valley Speedway in Radford.

The Wade's/Campbell's Soups 200 is scheduled tonight featuring the NASCAR Winston Racing Series Late Model Stock Car drivers in 100 laps of racing. Also the Mini Stockers will have a special 35-lap event, along with 35 laps for the Limited Division and 25 for the Modified Mini. Gates open at 2 p.m., with practice at 4. Qualifying is at 6:15, and the first green flag falls at 8.

On Sunday, a Mother's Day Special will be held. The first-ever 100-lap Enduro Race will highlight the card. The race will have a 2-hour time limit. The Pure Stock drivers will go for 50 laps, with the Mini Stockers returning for another 25 laps. Gates open at 10 a.m., with practice beginning at noon. The first race is at 2 p.m. Anyone bringing a ticket stub from Saturday night will be admitted for half-price Sunday.

Should tonight's races be rained out, a makeup date will be scheduled later and Sunday's event will be held as planned, promoter Ronnie Snoddy said.
