The Cavaliers (11-3 overall, 3-1 in the district) got a homer from Barry Stockner, who pinch hit in the fourth inning and smacked a three-run blast. Carroll County's Eric Spencer was 2-for-3 and scored twice while Jason Kilbourne was 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Christiansburg (5-10, 1-3) had three homers as Danny Tawney hit two and went 3-for-4. Denny Self had a solo shot in the first inning.

Wes Self is only a freshman, but he's making a name for himself in the Mountain Empire District.
On Friday, Self pitched a no-hitter as Grayson County defeated host Narrows 2-0 in a district game.
The Blue Devils' right-hander struck out 16 and walked one in the seven-inning game. Grayson County has a 9-5 overall record and is 5-1 in the district.
For the Green Wave (9-3, 5-1), senior right-hander Jeff White (5-1) allowed two hits and struck out 10 and walked in a run.
Each team had two errors. The other Grayson County run scored on a walk and an error.
At Floyd County, Shawsville defeated the Buffaloes 6-3 in a Mountain Empire District game. The Shawnees scored six runs on one hit, four walks and a fielder's choice in the sixth inning. The one hit was a grand-slam homer by Brian Sadler. Shawsville's only other hit was by Ben Basham, who singled in the seventh. Sammy Burton was the tough-luck loser on the two-hitter. He struck out eight and walked eight for the Buffaloes.
Dwayne Hale was 3-for-4 while Peter Bucklin was 2-for-3 and drove in three runs for Floyd County.
In Riner, Galax defeated Auburn 6-1 in the Mountain Empire District as Jason Beam threw a five-hitter and struck out eight. Justin Lineberry singled in two runs to pace the Maroon Tide's offense. The Maroon Tide are 5-9 overall and 3-4 in the district while the Eagles are 4-10, 2-5.
In Blacksburg, Radford beat the Indians 7-1 behind Ryan Brittle who threw a three-hitter while striking out eight. Travis Griffin had three RBI for the Bobcats, 3-1 in the district. Michael Donohue was 2-for-3 to lead Blacksburg, which slips to 1-3.
Riley Hodges swatted two home runs and knocked in five runs, leading Franklin County to an 11-1 win at William Fleming in the Roanoke Valley District. David Webster shut down Fleming (2-12, 1-7), yielding only two hits en route to a complete game for the Eagles (9-3, 7-1).
In New Castle, Covington scored five unearned runs in the fifth inning to take a four-run lead and went on to a 10-6 victory over Craig County in the Pioneer District.
Andy Lambert went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored for the Cougars (9-3-1, 7-1-0). Chris Blankenship was the top hitter for the Rockets (6-9, 5-5), going 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.
Robey Caldwell (5-3) pitched a two-hitter as Cave Spring cruised past visiting Pulaski County 17-0 in a Roanoke Valley District game stopped after five innings because of the "slaughter" rule.
Caldwell, a junior right-hander, struck out 12 and walked one.
Kevin Davis led the hit parade for the Knights (10-3, 7-1), going 2-for-4 with a grand slam and five RBI. Billy Cole was 2-for-2 with a homer and four RBI, and Doug Kenney went 4-for-4 with two RBI.
Pulaski County's record fell to 5-7 and 2-4.
In Bedford, unbeaten Jefferson Forest snapped a 5-5 tie in the fifth on a solo homer by Ryan Gilleland to beat Liberty 6-5. Gilleland also picked up the win in relief for the Cavaliers (12-0 overall and in the district).
Liberty (5-9) was paced by Russell Smith and Jamie Dooley with two hits each while Johnny Cash homered for the Minutemen. Liberty had two runners on with one out in the seventh, but couldn't score.
\ BOYS' TENNIS: At Salem, Jeff Henley handed Lord Botetourt's Jay Guillian his first loss of the season 7-5, 6-3 as Salem (10-1) defeated the Cavaliers 6-3 in a Blue Ridge District match.
\ GIRLS' TENNIS: In Galax, unbeaten Grayson County defeated Narrows 5-1 in a rain-shortened match that was moved from Independence. The Blue Devils are 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the district. Jessica Sumner at No. 1 remained unbeaten with 6-3, 6-0 victory over Natalie Spangler. The doubles' team of Sumner and Jenny Reedy is also unbeaten after beating Sarah Kellam and Meredith Lucas 6-1, 6-1.
\ BOYS' SOCCER: At Christiansburg, Blacksburg clinched the New River District title with a 3-0 victory as Steve Cherry scored twice and Mark Decker scored the other goal. The Indians are 11-0-1 overall and 4-0 in the New River. Christiansburg is 8-4, 1-2.
At River's Edge, William Byrd edged Patrick Henry 2-1 in a non-district game. Mike Berry and Matt Bryant scored for the Terriers (11-0) while PH (5-4-2) got a goal from Cannon Helscher.
At River's Edge, North Cross whipped Roanoke Catholic 7-0 in a Virginia Independent Conference game as Jamie Bell scored twice. The Raiders are 11-1-3 overall and 3-0 in the VIC. Catholic slips to 7-7 and 1-2.
\ SOFTBALL: At Salem, Pam Glosser (4-1) pitched Salem to a 5-1 Blue Ridge District victory over Lord Botetourt. Glosser allowed four hits of Lord Botetourt's five hits, struck out four, walked one and allowed one earned run in five inning of work for Salem (11-3, 4-1).
Jessica Thompson (1-3) took the loss for Lord Botetourt (5-5, 2-3), allowing all five Salem hits, striking out three and walking nine. Erica Lokey went 2-for-4 for Salem. Jessica Thompson doubled for Lord Botetourt.
Glenvar rallied from a six-run deficit to tie the score in the bottom of the seventh inning, then scored once in the eighth to edge Bath County 14-13 in a Pioneer District game at the Highlanders' field.
Amy Layman, who picked up the victory with four innings of scoreless relief, tripled in the eighth and scored the winning run on a passed ball.
In Rocky Mount, Kara Whitney and Joy Marraccini hit two-run homers to power Cave Spring to a 14-2 victory over Franklin County in the Roanoke Valley District.
Mary Kallio picked up the victory for the Knights. Tonya Jones and Nikki Potter hit homers to provide the runs for the Eagles (8-7, 3-2).
