FOR THE RECORD

Because of incorrect information supplied to the newspaper, a wrong phone number was listed in this year's Discover section. People who want information about programs conducted by the Virginia Tech Union should call 231-5615.

Because of a reporter's error, the Pearisburg Woman's Club's role in maintaining the Pearis Cemetery wasn't included in a story in Sunday's Current. The club, which has coordinated maintenance efforts for the cemetery and allocated funding for it, adopted public access to the cemetery as its community improvement project. Also, the Catholic Church has not considered moving its hostel from its current location near the church.

Because of incorrect information supplied to the newspaper, an Applause column in Saturday's Current was outdated. Craig Shergold, who had a brain tumor as a young boy, is already listed in the Guiness Book of World Records as having the largest collection of business cards. Now 14, Shergold has had surgery and is doing fine. He received many of his cards through letters, and now the Make-A-Wish Foundation has requested that the mail cease.

Because of an editorial assistant's error, the wrong time was listed for the Mental Health Association of the New River Valley's brown bag luncheon session on depression. The session, to be held at Montgomery Hospital on Wednesday, is noon to 1:30 p.m.
