BUSINESS SEMINAR SET FOR ROANOKE

Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade Robert Skunda will talk about the Allen administration's views and plans for small business at a Roanoke seminar for small companies Thursday.

Skunda will be keynote speaker at the second annual small-business seminar sponsored by Woods, Rogers & Hazlegrove, a Roanoke law firm, and the Blue Ridge Regional Business Journal. The program starts at noon at the Roanoke Airport Marriott hotel.

The program will include sessions on health care reform, international trade, cafeteria-style employee benefit plans, relationships among owners of small firms, estate planning and current developments in employment law.
