"Jump-n-Fit," a Roanoke Valley aerobic team, recently won the 1994 YMCA Aerobic Championship in Huntington, W.V.
Team members are Teresa Lively and Marty Falgiano, both aerobic instructors at Salem Fitness Center, and Regina Ierardi, aerobics instructor at New Fitness in Roanoke. Jump-N-Fit's dance routine was choreographed by Lynn Stone of the Ardell Stone School of Dance. In addition to the team trophy, winners received fitness apparel and a white water rafting trip in West Virginia.
Walkers raise more than $19,000 for MS
The MS WALK for multiple sclerosis recently held in Roanoke raised $19,160 in cash and pledges.
Volunteers guided 210 Roanoke Valley walkers along the route.
Money raised will help provide support services to valley multiple sclerosis sufferers in areas of counseling, information and referral, symposiums, medical equipment and research funding.
