NS NAMES TOBIAS VP FOR OPERATIONS

On July 1, he will succeed Paul R. Rudder, who is retiring after 43 years with the Norfolk-based transportation company.

Tobias began his career in 1969 as a junior engineer, serving in various positions in the engineering and transportation departments. He became a general manager in 1984, and in 1989 was named vice president for transportation.
