COMMENCEMENT EVENTS

New River Community College will hold commencement exercises at the school's campus in Dublin tonight at 7.

The ceremony marks the school's 25th anniversary.

Robert P. Crouch Jr. of Roanoke, chairman of the state Community College board, will be the commencement speaker.

Also scheduled to speak is Sue Calfee, president of NRCC's Student Government Association.

About 400 students will be awarded degrees among 38 fields of study, according to the college.

A reception to be held in the T.J. Anderson Student Lounge in Martin Hall will follow the ceremony.
