Another $91,741 worth of contracts was split among four other companies, including two from Roanoke.
Century Sales Inc., owned by Herbert Chappelle, will provide $11,103 in equipment, and Swartz Restaurant Supply, owned by Joe McCreery, was awarded contracts for $62,574.
Other firms with the low winning bids were Regional Restaurant Equipment Co., Columbia, Md., $16,123, and Taylor Freezer Sales Co. Inc. of Chesapeake, $1,941.
The Fayetteville company is owned by Andrew O'Quinn. Scott Bullock, sales engineer for the company, said it learned of the project from the hotel project's food service consultant. He said the company hasn't done any work in Virginia before, but is currently bidding on two school projects in Augusta County.
Thompson & Little's bids for the hotel included $46,540 for portable equipment, $512,613 for fixed equipment and $5,017 for millwork.
The contracts' total of $655,911 was $102,000 less than the budget for the equipment, said Bev James.
