The Cavaliers (12-10), ranked 31st, will be represented by Jen Callen in the individual singles' competition and Alison Cohen and Ly-Lan Schofield in doubles.
Callen, ranked 20th, defeated No. 15 Terri Ann Zawacki of Wake 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 in the team competition.

A 5-4 loss to Emory (Ga.) University left the Washington and Lee women's tennis team with a sixth-place finish in the NCAA Division III team championships in Kalamazoo, Mich.
The individual singles and doubles competition begins today, also in Kalamazoo. Marilyn Baker and Julie Ayers will play in both tournaments for W&L. Baker, seeded second, will play unseeded Amy Roland of Kenyon (Ohio), and Ayers, who is not seeded, will play fourth-seeded Claire Turchi of Pomona-Pitzer (Calif.).
In doubles, Ayers and Baker will take on the second-seeded team of Becky Mallory and Julie Greenwood of Williams (Mass.). Ayers and Baker are not seeded in the doubles. Mallory and Greenwood defeated Ayers and Baker in straight sets in the second round of the team tournament on Wednesday.
In Spartanburg, S.C., two University of Virginia golfers were within five strokes or fewer off the lead after the first round of the Wofford Invitational.
Clemson's Mike Bryce led the way with a 2-under-par 70 on the 6,784-yard Carolina Country Club Course. UVa's Thomas Garner was tied for 15th at 74 and teammate Simon Cooke shared 19th at 75.
East Tennessee State and Florida State shared the team lead at 290, with Virginia in ninth place at 310.
