PORTLAND, Ore.- The man who whacked Nancy Kerrigan in the knee and his getaway car driver were sentenced Monday to 11/2 years in prison after pleading guilty to their roles in the attack.

Hit man Shane Stant and driver Derrick Smith pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit second-degree assault.

All three men had agreed to plead guilty in exchange for 18-month prison terms.
